What the role is
Medical Writers author the documents regulators, ethics committees, journals and patients read. Strong MWs are scientific peers to the biostatistician and the medical lead — not transcriptionists — and own document quality end-to-end.
A typical day
- Draft a Phase II CSR Section 11 (efficacy)
- QC TLFs against the SAP for an interim analysis
- Comment-resolution meeting on a protocol amendment
- ICMJE journal manuscript revision
- Investigator's Brochure annual update
