Accessibility

Built to WCAG 2.1 AA.

Clinical research is a regulated profession. The tools we build to train, verify, and place its workforce must be usable by every professional, regardless of ability. This is our standing commitment and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Our standard

YANA Careers and all five YANA products (Academy, Sim Lab, Verified, Talent Cloud, and Career OS) target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We actively pursue Level AAA where the underlying interaction allows it.

What that means in practice

  • Color contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
  • Focus states are visible on all controls and never suppressed.
  • Forms use visible labels — never placeholder-only inputs.
  • Images carry meaningful alt text; decorative images are marked aria-hidden.
  • Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.
  • All video content ships with captions and transcripts.
  • Headings follow a single logical hierarchy on every page.

Assistive technology

We test against current versions of NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, and validate touch navigation on iOS and Android with TalkBack and VoiceOver. Our component library (Radix UI primitives) ships with audited ARIA semantics out of the box.

Known limitations

The Sim Lab branching scenarios include drag-and-drop interactions that currently require a pointing device. A full keyboard-equivalent flow is on the roadmap for Q3 2026. If this is a barrier for you, contact us and we will provide an alternative completion path immediately.

Report a barrier

If you encounter any accessibility issue on yanacareers.com or any YANA product subdomain, email accessibility@yanacareers.com. We respond to every report within two business days and prioritize barriers that prevent task completion.

Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is reviewed at every release. Our engineering team runs automated audits (axe-core) on every pull request, and we commission an independent third-party WCAG audit annually. Our next external audit is scheduled for Q1 2027.
